Dr. Breanna Fletcher

I want to take a moment to introduce myself to the wonderful community I have recently joined.

My name is Breanna Fletcher, and I’m proud to say I am the newest member of the Vivid Vision optometry family here in Fort Saskatchewan. I am thrilled for the opportunity to work in such a close knit community and surrounding area, which has always been close to my heart.

I grew up on a farm outside Smoky Lake, 90km northeast of the Fort. I attended H.A.Kostash School from Kindergarten through grade 12 before moving to Edmonton to pursue my undergraduate education at the University of Alberta. I then moved to Manhattan, New York where I attended the State University of New York and completed my Doctorate of Optometry in 2014.

Since graduation from optometry school I have been fortunate to practice in a variety of clinical settings throughout the U.S. and Canada including rural private practice in Sumter, South Carolina and a large, non-profit hospital in Denver, Colorado. These opportunities have allowed me to experience vast differences in health care systems and modes of practice.

I am thankful for my international schooling and work experience but I always knew I would return to beautiful Alberta and I am excited to finally be back!

My special interests in optometry include primary eye care of all ages, ocular disease management and promoting access to healthcare in rural or underserved areas.

Outside of the clinic I enjoy helping out on the family farm, watching the Oilers (preferably win) and exploring the great outdoors.

I look forward to meeting you, please stop by Vivid Vision and say hi!

Dr. Kerri Erickson

I am excited to be joining the team at Vivid Vision in Fort Saskatchewan.  I grew up in Lamont, where my family still farms today. I attended Lamont Elementary and Lamont High from K-12. In high school and University, I worked at Family Vision Care under Dr. Geoff Marsh and I am proud to be coming back to practice comprehensive eyecare for Fort Saskatchewan and the surrounding communities.

After graduating high school, I attended undergrad at King's University in Edmonton where I co-authored a published paper on cataracts in zebrafish. Optometry school was next for me, and I graduated in 2014 from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry.

During my time in optometry school, I received an award for clinical excellence two years in a row, and an award for best thesis dissertation. After graduation, I moved to an acreage outside Fort Saskatchewan in 2015, where I spend time outdoors with my husband, two boys, and our dog.

My hobbies include reading, baking, volleyball, gardening, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. I am also committed to giving back to the community, and have participated in the VOSH mission to the Dominican Republic, providing eye exams and glasses to those in need.

During my rotations in school, I gained experience in primary care, contact lens, pediatrics & vision therapy, and ocular disease. This has prepared me well to provide the best care possible for my patients. I am excited to be able to serve my community.  I am looking forward to being back in Fort Saskatchewan to provide your eyecare needs at Vivid Vision.
